Negative stereotypes of Polish:
First stereotype: Poles abuse alkohol: “to drink (alcohol) like Pole”
Second stereotype: Poles are intolerant and full of anti-Semitism. People in the whole world think that Poles are prejudiced about Jews and black people. Also in Poland there are hooligans who attacking foreigners.
Third stereotype: Poles are unfair
Fourth stereotype: Organised crime and car theft are part of everyday life
Fifth stereotype: Poles never smile, but complain a lot
sixth stereotype: There is a common stereotype in North America that Polish people are below average intelligence.
seventh stereotype: we are unreliable.
eighth stereotype: Poles do not speak foreign languages
stereotype: Another feature is bribery and corruption.
Positive stereotypes of Polish:
First stereotype: Lots of people use to say that: “Pole can do everything well if he only wants to”.
Second stereotype: But Polls are also taken as brave (love freedom), patriotic and nationalistic. We can see it on the 2nd World War example.
Third stereotype: Poles are hospitable… We like to say: ”Guest at home – God at home”.
Fourth stereotype: Polish people are very religious – Catholics. Pope comes from Poland.
Fifth stereotype: But Europeans consider Polish kitchen to be unique and healthy.
sixth stereotype: Polish people are truthly attached to their traditions.
However the most important are people, they`re characters and personalites. Even in one family among brother and sister you can find many diffirences. Every state is huge assemblage of people, from which every is different. We should take every stereotypes as jokes about blondes, and don`t take them seriously. But if we agree with histories about ourselves, we should think about our national maintenance, and we can change it.
