What is the relationship? This is a connection between two or more people. There are many examples of relationships, like a connection between man and woman like love, cohabitation, friendship or a bond between parent and child in other words family love, marriage. Individuals can also have relationships with groups of people, such as the relation between a pastor and his congregation, a grandfather and a granddaughters, or a mayor and a people from “his/her” town. These bonds are so strong that nothing can withstand them and they are unconditional. The connection is based on truth and faith between people. What kind of friend is/are a man/men if we cannot trust him/them. But always we should remember, that even a very strong relationship can be destroyed by a lie or a neglect. All this types of relationships are different, because all relationships involve some level of interdependence. People in relationships share their feeling, thoughts, and engage in activities together, so they always have something in common. Always if one member of the relationship has some problems it impacts on the rest of a group.
The relationships between people are very important nowadays (there were in the past and there will be in the future), in private life as well as in professional life. Staying in contact with other people can be very useful and help you in your career or to find a good job. But also this is very important in your private life, because these days we live in very stressful, hard times and sometimes the only remedy can be a talk with someone trusted. A possibility to confidence one’s secret to somebody. This makes that we feel more comfortable, when we know that there is someone who thinks about us, that we are not alone in this crazy world.

How to inluence others?

Influence on other people is considered as something bad, against freedom. We don't like agressive advertisements, door-to door salesmen and spam in mail box. All these things were invented to increase volume of sales of some products. Although we think about them strictly negatively, we all have our own methods of persuading to our interest.
One of the most popular books about influence and marketing technics is Influence: Science and Practice written by Robert Cialdini, American psychologist. In this book he defines six “weapons of influence”:

* Reciprocation - People tend to return a favor. Thus, the pervasiveness of free samples in marketing. In his conferences, he often uses the example of Ethiopia providing thousands of dollars in humanitarian aid to Mexico just after the 1985 earthquake, despite Ethiopia suffering from a crippling famine and civil war at the time. Ethiopia had been reciprocating for the diplomatic support Mexico provided when Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1937.

* Commitment and Consistency - If people commit, orally or in writing, to an idea or goal, they are more likely to honor that commitment. Even if the original incentive or motivation is removed after they have already agreed, they will continue to honor the agreement. For example, in car sales, suddenly raising the price at the last moment works because the buyer has already decided to buy. See cognitive dissonance.
* Social Proof - People will do things that they see other people are doing. For example, in one experiment, one or more confederates would look up into the sky; bystanders would then look up into the sky to see what they were seeing. At one point this experiment aborted, as so many people were looking up that they stopped traffic. See conformity, and the Asch conformity experiments.
* Authority - People will tend to obey authority figures, even if they are asked to perform objectionable acts. Cialdini cites incidents, such as the Milgram experiments in the early 1960s and the My Lai massacre.
* Liking - People are easily persuaded by other people that they like. Cialdini cites the marketing of Tupperware in what might now be called viral marketing. People were more likely to buy if they liked the person selling it to them. Some of the many biases favoring more attractive people are discussed. See physical attractiveness stereotype.
* Scarcity - Perceived scarcity will generate demand. For example, saying offers are available for a "limited time only" encourages sales.

First I thought it would be easy to describe what the relationships are… I was wrong. Truly I don't know what I should write, but I must try it because my final mark depends on this homework too
Let's start!

What is the relationship? This is a connection between two or more people. There is a connection between man and woman like love, friendship or a bond between parent and child. These bonds are so strong that nothing can withstand them and they are unconditional. The connection is based on truth and faith between people. What kind of friend is a man if we cannot trust him. But we always should remember, that even a very strong relationship can be destroyed by a lie or a neglect.
The relationships between people are very important nowadays (there were in the past and there will be in the future) becouse we live in very stressful, hard times, and sometimes the only helpful medicine can be a talk with someone or just to be close a friend (otherwise you should find a good psychologist).

Relationships one more time

An interpersonal relationship is a relatively long-term association between two or more people. This association may be based on emotions like love and liking, regular business interactions, or some other type of social commitment. Interpersonal relationships take place in a great variety of contexts, such as family, friends, marriage, acquaintances, work, clubs, neighborhoods, and churches. They may be regulated by law, custom, or mutual agreement, and are the basis of social groups and society as a whole. Although humans are fundamentally social creatures, interpersonal relationships are not always healthy. Examples of unhealthy relationships include abusive relationships and codependence. A relationship is normally viewed as a connection between two individuals, such as a romantic or intimate relationship, or a parent-child relationship.

But for us relationships are usually associated with love, liking and family love.

Love:

Interpersonal love refers to love between human beings. It is a more potent sentiment than a simple liking for another. Unrequited love refers to those feelings of love that are not reciprocated. Interpersonal love is most closely associated with interpersonal relationships. Such love might exist between family members, friends, and couples. Throughout history, philosophy and religion have done the most speculation on the phenomenon of love. In the last century, the science of psychology has written a great deal on the subject.

Friendship

Best friend (or close friend): a person(s) with whom someone shares extremely strong interpersonal ties with as a friend.
Acquaintance: similar to a friend, but sharing of emotional ties isn't present. An example would be a coworker with whom you enjoy eating lunch, but would not look to for emotional support.
Romantic friendship: the very close but non-sexual friendship shared between two friends, often involving physical contact such as hugging, holding hands, and even cuddling.
Soulmate: the name given to someone who is considered the ultimate, true, and eternal half of the other's soul, in which the two are now and forever meant to be together.
Pen pal: a person who shares a "postal" relationship with another and regularly writes via "snail mail". They may or may not have met each other in person and may share either love, friendship, or simply an acquaintance between each other.
Internet friendship: a widely debated and form of friendship or romance which takes place over the Internet.
Comrade: means "ally", "friend", or "colleague" in a military or (usually) left-wing political connotation. This is the feeling of affinity that draws people together in time of war or when people have a mutual enemy or even a common goal. Friendship can be mistaken for comradeship.

Family

Interpersonal relationships include kinship and family relations in which people become associated by genetics or consanguinity. These include such roles as father, mother, son, or daughter. Relationships can also be established by marriage, such as husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, uncle by marriage, or aunt by marriage. They may be formal long-term relationships recognized by law and formalized through public ceremony, such as marriage or civil union. They may also be informal long-term relationships such as loving relationships or romantic relationships with or without living together.
